So last night my friend Hannah and I went to the WOW Hall to see Brandi Carlile and A Fine Frenzy in concert, and it was AMAZING. By far the best concert I’ve been to yet. Granted, that’s only three so far, but still. It was fan-fuckin’-tastic.

A Fine Frenzy performed first, and she was really great…good enough to be the main act (second picture). I could have left after that and been perfectly satisfied. I went to get her to sign my ticket afterward, and I had a couple things I wanted to say to her, and then I got up there and all I could manage was a feeble “Could you sign my ticket for me?” Haha. I’m a dork.

I was impressed a lot by A Fine Frenzy, but then Brandi Carlile came out and just blew me away. She sounds exactly the same live as she does recorded, which is phenomenal. There was one song where she and the twins came up to the front of the stage and sang/played without mics or amps. It was awesome. That’s what the first picture is of. Then, on “Turpentine,” her next single, they split the audience into three parts and we all sang the harmonies. It was fucking rad. The whole concert was seriously amazing. And only $15. Can’t beat that.

So yeah. It was an awesome night.
